April 2022 Video

The spring 2022 meeting was a Zoom meeting due to Covid19.  Our invited speaker was Joe McDonald.  Joe has been photographing wildlife and nature since 1966, starting with images of his pet turtles, lizards, and snakes he made as a high school freshmen. He has since been published in every natural history publication in the U.S. and is the author of seven wildlife photography books.

Joe is a founding member and former board member of NANPA, the North American Nature Photography Association.  He has conducted multiple educational sessions at the annual NANPA summits, and he has also addressed many nature photography groups around the country.  Joe’s presentation for the NPPNW Spring meeting will be “Close Up and Macro Photography – Fundamentals every nature photographer should know.”

You can preview some of Joe’s beautiful photography at his website, HootHollow.com.
