FRIDAY PHOTO TOURS
NOVEMBER 1 – 11:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.
Tour will leave from the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn at PDX at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.. We will carpool to the Gorge, shooting grand landscapes and waterfalls and any cooperative wildlife we encounter, returning to the Hilton by 5.
The spectacular Columbia Gorge lies just east of Portland, carved into the basalt by the relentless Columbia River between 3 and 1 million years ago. During a Friday NPPNW phototour preceding the November conference, we will be visiting the Gorge, shooting grand panoramas of the river from Vista House or the Portland Women’s Forum State Park, long-exposure shots of iconic Multnomah Falls as it drops over the rim of the Gorge, and, if time allows, another waterfall or two.
On-line pre-registration is required and a $5 fee will be charged to cover the cost of insurance. Participation is limited to the first 20 photogaphers registering for each tour. This will be a shine or misty rain event.
